Today it is 2 years since my mother the amazing Lorraine Jule Thorgersen died of cancer. She was an beautiful woman, who persevered through all the negativity life threw at her. A woman who alway maintained her love, and ability to see the best in every situation even when it seemed hopeless. She was the most amazing, talented, brave, intelligent, loving, clever, lateral thinking, trivia knowing, patient, huggable, sensational woman (seriously there are not enough superlatives in the English language) I have ever met and I miss her every day. Today is a hard day, but I know she is still here in me and my beautiful girls. She is with us everyday in everything we do. She is travelling with us and enjoying the freedom she has enabled us every bit as much as we are. Thank you mum, you were the best. I will love you forever and then some and I hope one day my girls love me as much as I love you. You are in my heart foreverxxx
So as expected I am not really up for much today, it is definitely going to be a lazy day. Not to many pictures and not too much happiness bubbling over, but still a day to be lived.
I slept in till 9am, Jeni is amazing with my girls – she loves doing their hair too, Lily wanted a twisted mohawk, Charlotte has an fishtail braid. Astrid is kind of enjoying have faux siblings..

So no rush to get up. We were going to go to Sugar world water park – unfortunately as most schools have gone back today (it is a Monday) they have closed for the rest of the month for maintenance… So instead we hand around the house ’til 12, reading, playing games, watching a movie. Then we are off

to Muddy’s – it is this amazing play area with water and play equipment.. So beautiful I wish I had been more motivated to take photos – next time I promise. Here are the girls with Astrid on the giant climbing frog. After Muddy’s we went to Grill’d for a burger lunch and then home for a relax. Charlotte has a cough and Lily seems to be starting too, so a bit of a rest will be good for them. Astrid is off to Nexus – a hybrid martial arts class.
Steve is making chicken soup for dinner – to help out with all the coughing and I made the chocolate mousse last night – a double batch.
I made the girls special desserts with ice-cream on the bottom, then strawberries, then mousse, then cream and some more strawberries.. The were very popular..

Then it was time for a bath and bed, Astrid has school tomorrow so 8pm is the latest.. Charlotte was allowed to read a bit later but Lily went happily to sleep. Then it was time for cards for the adults, lots of laughter, and fun was had by all, though I think Steve and I got whooped. Oh well it was a lovely way to take my mind off things. Thank you so much Steve, Simon and Jeni for a lovely day. Thank you to all my beautiful friends and family for you calls, emails, texts and face book message. It is good to know mum is remembered by so many people and that she was loved. Thank goodness the nightmares can stop now until next year.
Love Hugs and Happy Thoughts to all of you xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxox
