I received a phone call to change my interview time to 1.30pm at 8.57am this morning.. it forced me out of bed and there is very limited reception on my Optus phone here so I need to go out the back deck if I want to talk to someone and understand them.
The girls have been up since 7, Jeni has fed them and they are relaxing with some ABC3. So I apply for another job – a 45 minute psych test on the internet for a personal banker role with Westpac. Then I get up and dressed and it is time to go shopping. Steve is making San Choi Bow and chicken spring rolls for dinner and we need some ingredients.
Back from the shops – Lily has some spots on her face that look like insect bites, she has a blister on her toe and I know she should have gone to sleep earlier last night. It is very hard when they are sharing a double. She is super tired and over it, so back to the house for Transylvania Hotel for Steve and the girls while I went off to my first job interview in a long time.

It was very surreal getting dressed in a shirt and putting on make up – (the first time in 3 months). I had and interview with Amanda Hargreaves from Signature Staff for 3 possible roles, 2 in Port Douglas and 1 in Cairns – all Food and Beverage Supervisor roles. I guess we will see what happens. I have never worn denim to an interview before and I just bought this shirt today to wear to the interview – I am very underprepared in the clothes sense to look for a job.
The interview only took 1/2 hour. Luckily it was very close to where we are staying with Simon, Jeni and Astrid.
After my interview we took the girls to Nexus with Astrid, they were both very keen to give it a try, even better it was free to try.
OMG the girls loved it, they are both super keen to go again.. please please please.
They did everything Astrid and the rest of the class did.
There were punches and jumps, they got to tackle the teachers, respect and bowing whenever they went on or off the mat. It was so much fun.
Then finished off with some meditation to calm the breathing and then poison ball, with all the parents on the sides of the square – 3 games. Then we got a sticker each – for Astrid it is number 8 so she will be invited for grading soon. For our girls it is number 1 and they want more.
Then the begging to come back again began. We came home to dinner of spring rolls and San Choy Bow – thanks Steve xx The girls to bath, book and bed. Then cards again.

Loving all the canasta and laughter that comes with it. Though Steve and Simon did beat Jeni and I soundly. Three nights of cards in a row is awesome but making us all very tired.
