Day 103 – 12 July 2013

Today is Friday, Steve has a job interview at 12.30 in the city for temp agency work.  We get up and go for a walk to the beach – not that far about 800m, but it is very warm.  The girls are in their bathers but when we get to the beach the water is a murky muddy colour and very choppy with a big rip = no swimming.  Holloways BeachHolloways beach 2

So they have a play in the park instead.

The only problem is the cafe next door serving exactly what we would put on the menu.  So moving right along Back home the girls go for a quick swim in the pool, some toasted sandwiches for lunch.  I get a call from the agency re temp work tomorrow night, I just need to fill in some forms can I come in today.  So I head in straight away and complete all the paperwork and pick up a shift from 6pm tonight.  Simon is heading into town so drops Steve to me and I take him to his interview and take the girls via the shop (for a black shirt and pants) to the Lagoon – OMG it is amazingly lovely and the water is only a bit cool, we all enjoy a swim.  The girls love it and swim over to the fountain.  They find a girl they played with at

We find a unicycle riding juggler for Steve and the girls to chat to, then a couple of cool buskers and then we are really going.  Back home for a shower and change

Then it is off to Palm Cove.

The Reef House restaurant is a lovely restaurant.  The food looks amazing, the staff are very lovely and I enjoyed my 3 hours.  Not that busy, just a team leader so a slightly disorganised service.  But still lots of fun.

Then the drive home, am so hot in my only black shoes – my knee high boots – need new shoes tomorrow so I can be a bit cooler – literally.

Back home and Steve and Simon had taken Charlotte, Lily and Astrid to the local bowling club for dinner – a lovely night had by all.Bowling club dinner

Simon is just heading to bed, he set up Elementary (that he taped last Sunday) for me and Steve gets a call from Matt so I get to enjoy my show in peace.  Then to bed to dream.
